Renal masses, or tumors are mostly diagnosed incidentally. They mus tbe removed in more than 95% of the cases. This can be done radically or partially, by leaving a safety margin around the mass and removing only the tumor tissue in suitable patients. The surgical procedure can be open, laparoscopic or robotic. In some special occasions, cryotherapy or radiofrequency ablation are also choices for small renal masses.
